Hi Everyone!  I hope that you are doing well and staying healthy. This is my first monthly side hustle income report for January. 

I have been doing side hustles for the past three years and enjoy most of them. 

In today’s economic environment we need more than one source of income even if it is a small one.  This income can help pay for sports, dance, music, tires, or savings. Even with a budget this has come in handy, and I am very grateful that I can do this.

 For anyone looking to make a couple extra bucks a month I always recommend getting involved in these sharing economy platforms.  

Unlike getting a second job, there’s really no commitment if you find out that you don’t have the time or inclination for the side hustle.

With your phone and money-making apps, you can easily make extra income. With some of these platforms you may have to pay taxes on your earnings as you will be an independent contractor. Others will pay you out in gift cards.

So how do I fit these in working full time, husband, dad, and volunteer…

Time management and a supportive family! Seriously though both are the KEY to my success.

 I look for work close by my office or home and do the jobs before work, at lunch, or on the way home.  Most take about 15-30 minutes to complete so not hours on end.  See the breakdown of how I did for the month of January.

What did I do with this extra income.  I used some to buy tax software for this tax season, saved, and treated my family to dinner.  I thanked my family at dinner for their continued support and encouragement.  They see how working hard and learning some new skills helps yourself and your family.
