Wealth why do we want it

Wealth why are we so obsessed with it and why do we want it?

Are we envious of those that have it?

Do we think it will solve our problems?

Here is my take on it. When I was younger I did want to be rich/wealthy. I thought it would bring me ease and comfort to my life. So where did I start to learn about money- reading! I read rich dad poor dad, The Snowball, The Psychology of Money, and other books.

But I had a mindset shift as I got older. Wealth is not always about money but alot of different things to different people. Health is Wealth, Family is Wealth, and Time is wealth. Now does having great income help relieve financial obligations yes it does. You can start out slowly by saving!

Create a savings challenge for yourself and get a friend to do it with you!

Remember that wealthy people still have problems, issues, and struggles in their lives just like us.

Importance of wealth

At its core, wealth refers to the accumulation of resources and assets that can be used to create economic security and stability.

This can include everything from money in the bank to investments, property, and other forms of tangible and intangible assets.

While wealth can take many different forms, it is generally seen as an indicator of financial success and stability.

One of the key benefits of wealth is that it provides a sense of security and stability in our lives.

When we have accumulated enough resources and assets, we are able to weather financial setbacks and challenges without risking our long-term financial stability.

This can be particularly important in times of economic uncertainty, such as during a recession or market downturn.

Wealth can also provide us with greater flexibility and freedom in our lives.

When we have enough resources at our disposal, we are able to pursue opportunities and experiences that might otherwise be out of reach.

This can include everything from travel and leisure activities to starting a business or investing in a new venture.

In addition, wealth can also provide us with greater control over our lives and our futures.

When we have accumulated enough resources, we are able to make choices and decisions that align with our personal values and priorities.

This might include supporting causes that are important to us, investing in our education or professional development, or building a legacy for future generations.

What Creates Wealth

The creation of wealth is a complex process that involves a wide range of factors. Here are some of the key drivers of wealth creation:

  1. Education and Skills: Education is one of the most important factors that create wealth. A well-educated individual has a better chance of securing a well-paying job, gaining valuable skills and experience, and achieving financial stability.
  2. Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Innovation and entrepreneurship are key drivers of wealth creation. Innovators and entrepreneurs develop new ideas, products, and services that create new markets and opportunities for growth.
  3. Hard Work and Persistence: Hard work and persistence are essential ingredients for creating wealth. Wealthy individuals are often known for their work ethic, dedication, and ability to persevere through challenges and setbacks.
  4. Investment and Savings: Investing and saving are essential for building wealth. Investing in stocks, bonds, and other assets can help individuals grow their wealth over time, while saving money can provide a financial cushion in times of need.
  5. Access to Capital: Access to capital is critical for creating wealth. Capital can be used to start a business, purchase real estate, or invest in stocks and other assets. Without access to capital, individuals may struggle to create wealth.
  6. Strong Networks: A strong network of relationships is essential for creating wealth. Building strong relationships with mentors, business partners, and colleagues can provide valuable opportunities for growth and success.
  7. Good Health: Good health is essential for creating wealth. Poor health can lead to increased medical expenses, reduced earning potential, and a lower quality of life.
  8. Stable Political and Economic Environment: A stable political and economic environment is essential for creating wealth. Political instability, economic turmoil, and regulatory uncertainty can all make it difficult for individuals to create and maintain wealth.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, wealth is an important concept that can provide us with financial security, flexibility, and control over our lives. While it is important to recognize the potential downsides of wealth and work towards greater economic equality, we should also strive to build and manage our resources in a way that aligns with our personal values and priorities. By doing so, we can create a more stable and fulfilling financial future for ourselves and our families.

Wealth not only grants you access to the infinite pleasures of the world, but it also gives you peace of mind that you don’t have to work day-in and day-out to make a healthy, peaceful, and prosperous living. It gives you financial independence and free time that you can use to pursue happiness.

It provides you with money to fulfil your future goals. It offers a steady flow of income even when you are no longer employed or working. This can be a great way to ensure financial liquidity and help your loved ones to continue to live a life of comfort, abundance, and security.

How are you creating wealth?

My newest article is going to be on envy. And I struggle with this. But as I was reading your article you mentioned that “wealth can also provide us with greater control over our lives”. And it hit me that I like to be in control of my life and when I have to rely on God for my finances I struggle with trusting him. I see other bloggers or Etsy store owners who are doing well and I can’t even get a few visitors, I start to get envious of them. But God wants me to trust him with everything and that includes my finances. Thank you for showing me this revelation.
